Who We Are
The Village Church
is a family of believers who seek to proclaim the good news of the Bible to the community of Emersons Green and the surrounding communities. We believe that churches should play an active part in the communities they serve. The picture of a church in the Bible is not a grand building or a denomination but a group of people that are more like a family - living and caring for each other and welcoming newcomers. We seek to create such a church at The Village Church.
The Village Church is a satellite congregation of Kensington Baptist Church, Easton. A number of the founder members live in Emersons Green and the surrounding area and had a vision to start a congregation in the village.
We meet on Sunday mornings at Mangotsfield Primary School at 10.30am. Our typical Sunday morning meeting will include singing - both classic hymns from the past and modern songs written this century, the reading of the Bible and a time where a passage from the Bible will be explained and applied to 21st century life.
The Village Kids also meet during our Sunday morning meetings. Their time will include singing, DVDs, games and craft - all centred on the Bible passage or story being taught.
On Sunday evening we meet again at Kensington Baptist Church at 6.00pm with the family of churches based at Kensington.
